JEE Advanced 2026 was conducted on May 17, 2026 by IIT Roorkee across 221 cities in India and 2 international centres. Paper 1: 9 AM–12 PM and Paper 2: 2:30–5:30 PM. Results declared on June 1, 2026 at jeeadv.ac.in.

Paper Difficulty Overview

Paper 1 – Moderate to Tough: Mathematics (Calculus, Matrices, 3D Geometry) was the hardest. Physics covered Mechanics and Electrostatics with multi-concept questions. Chemistry was moderate with balanced NCERT coverage.

Paper 2 – Moderate: Physics: Optics and Thermodynamics. Chemistry: Organic reactions, Electrochemistry. Mathematics: Probability, Complex Numbers, Trigonometry.

Expected Cutoff 2026 (out of 360 marks)

  • General (CRL): 90–105 marks
  • OBC-NCL: 81–95 marks
  • SC: 45–55 marks
  • ST/PwD: 22–30 marks

  • May 25–27 – Challenge window open
  • June 1, 2026 – Final Answer Key + Result declared

  • 250+ → Rank 1–200 (IIT Bombay/Delhi CS/EE)
  • 200–250 → Rank 200–800
  • 160–200 → Rank 800–2,500 (IIT Kanpur/Roorkee)
  • 120–160 → Rank 2,500–6,000
  • 90–120 → Rank 6,000–12,000
